PROJECT SIXTH LINE

THE KITCHEN

This stunning, custom built, bungalow farmhouse is situation in rural Milton, Ontario. Keeping true to its landscape, every inch of this stunning home has been designed with details and elements that add a rustic charm while maintaining a classic style. This kitchen was one of the spaces that really emphasized the design style and showcased all the beautiful finishes in one space. Working closely with local trades, cabinet makers and artisans we were able to create an incredible home for these clients.

textures and finishes.

We used a natural marble, calacatta oro, in a honed finish for the countertops, backsplash and custom sink front. This stunning marble pairs perfectly with the soft white cabinets and reclaimed woods in the floors , beams, and island. Finishing touches of polished nickel and oil rubbed bronze on the cabinet hardware, fixtures and plumbing complete the timeless look and feel of this space.

light and bright.

We chose a soft white for the cabinetry and added mirrored backs to the glass display cabinets to create depth and reflect light in the space. Selecting a soft warm grey paint colour for the surrounding walls also provides a complimentary backdrop to the natural marble , white cabinets and warm wood tones.

a space to gather.

A formal dining room was not of importance to this young family of four. Instead, we opted to adding a large dining space in the kitchen complete with an extension harvest table and comfortable and inviting seating . This open concept plan adjacent and open to the great room truly make this kitchen and living space the hub of this home. It is the ultimate place to entertain friend or have large family gatherings during the holiday season.
