THE LIBRARY + STUDY
This exquisite space is part of our custom build project located in rural Milton. This library and lounge features a loft study and soaring high ceilings. Meticulously planned , every inch of this space was designed to convey an old world charm and exhibit a masculine feel.
be bold.
Our choice of this blue-black paint colour for the walls and cabinetry create a bold and dramatic feel to this space. Our carefully curated furniture pieces featuring lived in leather, velvet armchairs and nailhead details add old world charm and deluge of textures. A sliding ladder made of reclaimed wood and used to reach the highest shelf of this custom built-in, provide the finishing touches that complete this space.
layered look.
A cozy conversation area in this space provided our clients a spot to have some drinks and good conversation wth friends. We layered three different cowhide rugs to anchor the seating arrangement and compliment the surround finishes and textures..
loft space.
Situated up above, and overlooking the library, is the study. This space was designed with custom built-in desks and plenty of filing and storage for our clients. With a clear view to the oversized chandelier and plenty of natural light it is hard not to get work done.
look up.
The ceiling height in this space is truly spectacular. We wanted to emphasize this grandeur by adding architectural elements that lead the eye up. By adding a reclaimed wood ceiling detail and suspending an oversized 2 tiered chandelier from it, we were able to achieve this.
